PANAJI: Denied entry into Goa, Sriram Sena chief Pramod Mutalik addressed the delegates of the ongoing national Hindu convention, on Skype from Hubli.
The BJP government in Goa had banned Mutalik from entering Goa in 2014 and currently, the ban is extended by 60 days.
The leader of the Hindu right wing organization has challenged the Laxmikant Parsekar government decision in the high court of Bombay at Goa.
Hearings on the matter ended on Tuesday and the order is reserved.
The 7-day national Hindu convention is on at Ramnathi, Ponda. Mutalik said he was eager to attend the convention as its objective was to deliberate on ideas for the formation of Hindu rashtra.
In his address from Hubli on Tuesday, Mutalik said that BJP government is playing double standards on the issue of Hindutva, Hindu Janjagruti samiti said in a statement Tuesday evening.
“BJP government has banned a real Hindu activist like me from entering Goa on on hand” he said adding that on the other hand, people involved in drug mafia and even anti-national elements are welcome in Goa.
